When I am home and I’m at my desk on the computer (whether it be surfing, working or writing), the mere fact I am at my desk means my lap has miraculously transformed into what our cat perceives as the best place in the entire house to come and make herself at home. This means I have a warm, purring creature making herself comfortable, head butting my arm as I try to type, licking my forearm if she’s really happy and ultimately curling up putting her head down in a position of extreme feline relaxation.
Somehow, no matter how nice the office I’ve been in, no matter how nice the people I’ve been around the atmosphere never has come remotely close to competing with what I find working here with the cat on my lap.
